1854 Pumpkin red, dark indigo and ecru overshot in Lover's Chain pattern. Note included that says, "This coverlid was woven by Dorinda Whicker Stanley at Amo, Indiana in 1854. She carded, spun and dyed the red and blue wool yarns herself. The cream thread was purchased. The shuttle and spool are from the loom she used. Her grandfather made the shuttle for her in 1843. She had eight children and made each of them a coverlid. Written in 1943 by Zella Page." Closeup shows the worst of the the wear at top and bottom center seam. I'll trim off the worst of the damage and rehem for you if you like for free. "70x80"

Antique Quilt 5695
1830-40s Indigo, cream and pastel rose Overshot Coverlet in Nine Snowballs pattern. This coverlet came in a covered wagon into Indian Territory from Illinois with Frances Felton's family before Oklahoma statehood. Frances graduated from Chickasha Women's College and OU and lived with her college roomate, Crystal Jack PHD in Microbiology. Frances was an assistant professor at OU. One quarter size hole and several small moth holes. 73x90$199.00ND |
